A new Curragh for a new future

You may have seen the grand opening of the state-of-the-art redeveloped Curragh Racecourse on May 6th last when it opened its doors to the public for the Guineas weekend.

The new Khan Stand was impressive indeed but there were a lot of other facilities that were also updated as well, including amazing new stables and sheds. Working closely with Purcell Construction we developed all the steel on the new buildings and stable yard refurbishment.

The project consisted of the construction of new steel frame stable facilities with surrounding yard. Each stable building was designed as single storey, with a pitched roof and brick cladding to blend into the style of the existing buildings.

The interior of the buildings consist of 8 specialty stables, washroom, tack room, storage room, and wash facilities. The stables were given a walled and gated courtyard.
